This project was a Design Build phased GMP. Phase 1 consisted of the addition of two new buildings, the Golf Academy and the Sandwich House. Phase 2 included a complete remodel and expansion of the existing Clubhouse and Parking Lot.

Clubhouse: The intent was to expand and upgrade the clubhouse to current standards while maintaining the traditional Pima-Maricopa inspired architectural design. The clubhouse improvements included enclosing 3,000 SF of existing outside area, 5,000 SF of new event space, a grand entry gallery with custom culture wall that showcases the history of Talking Stick as well as the region, additional restrooms and bridal room, and upgrades to the dining, pro shop, kitchen, and restroom/locker rooms. The outdoor space includes 20,000 SF of additional patio space for large wedding venues as well as Pima-Maricopa inspired designs in the pavestone, fixtures, trellis canopies, and skin of the building.

Golf Academy: The new golf academy building consists of 3,386 SF of interior space and 795 SF of covered outdoor space. The golf academy houses the existing teaching program functions and provides an all weather solution for the golf instructors to operate the current program and expand teaching capabilities. The new facility consists of three hitting bays, two restrooms, a conference room, storage room, an administrative work area, and a covered outdoor area on the northeast side of the building.

Sandwich House: The new 908 SF snack shack/starter building includes a golf starter station, 2 restrooms, storage room, and snack dispensing area with limited F&B capabilities with a service window to an 833 SF covered patio space to the north side of the building. The snack shack is sited along the cart path across from the driving range with visual access to the 1st tee box for the golf starter function.
